Senate HELP Committee set to vote on education and labor nominations

On June 26, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee is scheduled to vote on several nominations for positions within the Department of Education, the Department of Labor, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

The agenda includes the nomination of Penny Schwinn for Deputy Secretary of Education and Kimberly Richey for Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights at the Department of Education. At the Department of Labor, nominees include Daniel Aronowitz for Assistant Secretary for the Employee Benefits Security Administration, David Keeling for Assistant Secretary for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Jonathan Berry as Solicitor, Andrew Rogers as Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division, Anthony D’Esposito as Inspector General, and Jeremiah Workman as Assistant Secretary for Veterans’ Employment and Training. Andrea Lucas has been nominated to serve as a Member of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

The meeting will take place at 9:30 AM ET/8:30 AM CT in room 430 Dirksen Senate Office Building. A live stream will be available online.
