Niquan Odumn, a 23-year-old resident of the District of Columbia, has been sentenced to four years in federal prison for his involvement in a burglary at a Maryland pawn shop in December 2023. The crime resulted in the theft of dozens of firearms.

The sentencing was announced by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro, along with Special Agent in Charge Anthony Spotswood from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives' Washington Field Division, and Chief Pamela Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department.

Odumn, also known as "Stickz," had pleaded guilty on March 6 to charges including conspiracy to commit theft from a firearms licensee and possession of stolen firearms. In addition to his prison sentence, U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson imposed three years of supervised release.

Court documents reveal that on December 13, 2023, Odumn and at least four accomplices traveled from the District to A&D Pawn Shop in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Odumn used a portable saw to cut through security locks while another conspirator pried open the main door with a crowbar-type tool. The group stole at least 34 firearms before fleeing.

Odumn was apprehended on March 25, 2024, and has remained detained since then.

In related proceedings, Juwon Markel Anderson, aged 22 and also from the District of Columbia, received an 84-month prison sentence on June 20 for his role in the burglary and attempting to sell some of the stolen weapons.

Another co-defendant, Tyjuan McNeal, aged 27, is scheduled for sentencing on July 1 for conspiracy to commit firearms trafficking. Vincent Lee Alston, aged 23, admitted guilt on March 6 for one count of conspiracy to commit firearms trafficking. Cy'juan Hemsley pleaded guilty on May 7 to similar charges as Odumn.

The investigation is being conducted by ATF's Washington Field Division and the Metropolitan Police Department with support from ATF's Baltimore Field Division. Assistant U.S. Attorney Shehzad Akhtar is prosecuting the case with assistance from former Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Ryan Lipes.
