Today, two brothers from Logan County, West Virginia, have pleaded guilty to federal drug charges. Timothy Ray Gravley, 41, and Jessie Joe Gravley II, 42, both of Bruno, admitted to possession with intent to distribute significant quantities of illegal drugs.
Court documents reveal that on October 17, 2024, law enforcement executed a search warrant at their residences. Officers seized 559.69 grams of fentanyl and firearms from Timothy's home and 250.1 grams of methamphetamine along with other substances from Jessie's residence.
Timothy confessed to possessing the fentanyl with plans to distribute it within the Southern District of West Virginia. He also admitted to selling fentanyl in two separate transactions for $700 total.
Jessie admitted to possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute and acknowledged selling controlled substances in two transactions totaling over $1,300.
Both are set for sentencing on November 6, 2025. They face mandatory minimum sentences of ten years up to life imprisonment and fines up to $10 million.
Acting United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston announced the guilty pleas and praised the DEA and U.S. Route 119 Drug Task Force for their work on this case.
United States District Judge Irene C. Berger presided over the hearings while Assistant United States Attorney JC MacCallum prosecuted the cases.
