Wall resident pleads guilty to sexual exploitation of minors; sentencing set for March

A Wall, Pennsylvania resident has pleaded guilty in federal court to charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors, according to First Assistant United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.

Dylan Weyandt, 34, entered his plea on two counts before United States District Judge William S. Stickman IV on November 17, 2025. The court was informed that between February 2022 and February 2023, Weyandt induced two minors from outside the Western District of Pennsylvania to engage in sexually explicit conduct. He met his victims through a social media application and used both compliments and threats to coerce them into sending him explicit images and videos.

Judge Stickman has scheduled sentencing for March 23, 2026. The law allows for a maximum sentence of at least 15 years in prison and a fine up to $250,000. The actual sentence will be determined based on the seriousness of the offenses and any prior criminal history.

Weyandt remains detained while awaiting sentencing.

Assistant United States Attorney Heidi M. Grogan is prosecuting the case. The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation-Pittsburgh’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, which includes the Allegheny County Police Department and the Selma (California) Police Department.

The prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative started by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. Project Safe Childhood brings together federal, state, and local resources to locate offenders and assist victims. More information about this initiative can be found at www.justice.gov/psc.
