An investigative report released by Senator Ted Cruz, Chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, alleges that the Biden administration's Department of Transportation (DOT) coordinated with local officials in several major cities to facilitate the movement and housing of migrants at U.S. airports. The report claims that these actions were taken without requiring identification from migrants and involved diverting resources away from air traffic safety.
According to the findings, communications between federal officials and authorities in New York, Boston, and Chicago indicate that the White House directed both the DOT and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to urge at least ten airports to provide shelter for migrants. The report states that these requests persisted despite warnings about potential operational and security risks associated with housing migrants in airport facilities.
Senator Cruz commented on the investigation: “This report exposes how the Biden Department of Transportation conspired with local leaders in New York, Boston, and Chicago to house migrants in airport facilities at taxpayer expense. Their decisions – to transport illegal aliens through airports without identity checks, even those with felonies — shows in new detail how Biden’s open border policy coopted government agencies to put American citizens at risk.”
The full investigative report is available for public review.
