House subcommittee to review 18 bills aimed at protecting children online

The list of bills to be reviewed addresses a range of issues including social media safety, prevention of fentanyl sales online, internet protections for minors, parental control tools, algorithm transparency, bot exploitation safeguards, app store accountability, data privacy for children and teens, and online gaming safety. Some specific titles include the Safe Social Media Act; No Fentanyl on Social Media Act; Promoting a Safe Internet for Minors Act; Kids Internet Safety Partnership Act; AI Warnings And Resources for Education (AWARE) Act; Assessing Safety Tools for Parents and Minors Act; Sammy’s Law; Safer Guarding of Adolescents from Malicious Interactions on Network Games (GAMING) Act; Stop Profiling Youth and (SPY) Kids Act; Algorithmic Choice and Transparency Act; Safeguarding Adolescents From Exploitative (SAFE) Bots Act; Shielding Children's Retinas from Egregious Exposure on the Net (SCREEN) Act; Safe Messaging for Kids Act of 2025; App Store Accountability Act; Parents Over Platforms Act; Don’t Sell Kids’ Data Act of 2025; Kids Online Safety Act; and Children and Teens’ Online Privacy Protection Act.
