Cobblestone Ballroom & Event Center in Storm Lake, Iowa, has been named Small Business of the Week by Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee Chair Joni Ernst. The recognition highlights the venue’s role as a longstanding site for community gatherings since its founding in 1929.
“Cobblestone has succeeded in bringing people together with their delicious food, live events, and beautiful venues,” said Chair Ernst. “Through hard work and dedication, the Schumanns and Hustedts have restored a historic space for the Buena Vista County community to come together and create joyful memories.”
Owned by Natalie and Nathan Schumann along with Jennifer and Chad Hustedt, Cobblestone continues to host events such as live music, trivia nights, weddings, and other celebrations. After acquiring the building in 2022, the owners undertook significant renovations to maintain its historical character while preparing it for future use.
Chair Ernst plans to continue recognizing outstanding small businesses across Iowa through her weekly award program.
