The U.S. Department of State has announced new measures to help American citizens who want to leave the Middle East and return to the United States.
A crisis intake form is now available for Americans located in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Israel. The Department advises citizens in these countries to complete the form in order to receive information about available aviation and ground transportation options.
For U.S. citizens in other countries within the Middle East who are seeking assistance with departure, the Department recommends calling its 24-hour hotline at +1-202-501-4444.
