The session is scheduled for 3:30 PM Eastern Time at the Hart Senate Office Building, SH-216, with a live broadcast available online.

The committee said this hearing continues its work to remove barriers and provide flexibility for aging Americans as they navigate employment and retirement. This follows a December 2025 hearing that examined how older Americans contribute to the U.S. economy through work, caregiving, volunteer service, lifelong learning, and other activities.

Witnesses set to appear include Rachel Greszler of Advancing American Freedom; Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., President and CEO of SHRM; Jason J. Fichtner of the National Academy of Social Insurance; and Max Richtman of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare.

The Senate Aging Committee focuses on issues affecting older Americans such as Social Security, Medicare, long-term care, and retirement security while conducting hearings and issuing reports according to the official website. The committee also oversees federal programs including Medicare, Social Security, and elder abuse prevention through regular hearings and policy recommendations according to the official website.

Rick Scott serves as chair while Kirsten Gillibrand is ranking member of the committee according to the official website. The committee's oversight extends nationwide across all Americans in aging-related federal programs according to the official website.

The committee provides resources such as a fraud hotline designed to protect older adults from financial exploitation according to its official website. Offices are maintained in both Dirksen (majority) and Hart (minority) Senate Office Buildings according to its official site.
