The U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources announced on April 20 its schedule for the upcoming week, including a hearing to examine the President’s Budget Request for the Department of Energy for Fiscal Year 2027.
The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, at 9:30 a.m. in room 366 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, DC. The Honorable Christopher Wright, Secretary of the Department of Energy, is set to appear as a witness.
According to the committee announcement, "The purpose of the hearing is to examine the President’s Budget Request for the Department of Energy for Fiscal Year 2027."
The committee said that members of the public can watch a live webcast of the hearing on its website and that an archived video will be available shortly after it concludes. Witness testimony will also be posted online at the start of the hearing.

This hearing provides an opportunity for lawmakers and stakeholders to review and discuss funding priorities and initiatives proposed by the administration within one of its key agencies.
