Unsung Heroes Event at Fort Stanwix

News Release: On Saturday, August 6, the park will be hosting an 18th century-style blacksmith, tinsmith, and surgeon at the reconstructed fort. The event highlights some of the skilled professionals whose expertise was essential to the outcome of the 1777 siege of Fort Stanwix/Schuyler. The event is free, and runs from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and the blacksmith, tinsmith and surgeon will be presenting programs and demonstrations all throughout the day.
