Sen. Hoeven Works to Build a Brighter Energy Future for Our Nation

The following press release was published by the Senate Committee On Energy & Natural Resources on May 21, 2015. It is reproduced in full below.

In the eighth in the series of videos introducing the Republican members of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, U.S. Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., today outlines his priorities of advancing an all-of-the-above and a “states first" approach to energy production that develops all of America’s energy resources in tandem while putting states in charge of their own energy futures.

Sen. Hoeven highlights his ongoing efforts to build a brighter American energy future by expanding American energy production in order to create good jobs, grow the economy, and make our country more energy secure.

“We’re working to approve the Keystone XL pipeline. Congress has passed my bipartisan bill approving the project earlier this year. Although the president vetoed this important bill, we continue working to approve the project because we need to invest in our energy infrastructure," Sen. Hoeven says in the video. “We’re also working to expand America’s LNG and crude exports to create more American jobs, lower energy prices for consumers, and make our nation more energy secure. And we’re working to improve energy efficiency by using all energy sources in our buildings and in our homes and remove regulatory and permitting hurdles that are hampering energy development."

Sen. Hoeven’s full video statement is available on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee website.
