Washington, D.C. - House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) issued the following statement ahead of French President Emmanuel Macron’s Joint Address to Congress.
“It is an honor to welcome the French president to the Capitol today. President Macron has energized France with his pro-growth reform agenda and his commitment to security and the fight against terror. I hope today’s address will serve to further solidify our historic alliance. In the face of growing threats from Iran and Russia, a strong U.S.-France relationship is key to promoting peace and prosperity."
NOTE: Chairman Royce will serve on the bipartisan committee that will escort President Macron to the House floor.
