Chairman David Scott Applauds Passage of 1890s Bill out of Committee

WASHINGTON - Chairman David Scott released the following statement following the favorable reporting of H.R. 4252, a bill to provide $100 million in additional funds and make permanent the student scholarship program for students at the nineteen 1890 Colleges and Universities, out of the House Agriculture Committee.

“I am very pleased that H.R. 4252, our bill to provide an additional $100 million for scholarships to our 1890 Land-Grant Colleges and also makes the scholarship program permanent, was favorably reported out of Committee today. I deeply and sincerely appreciate both my Democratic and Republican Members of Congress for their strong bipartisan support," said Chairman David Scott.

Chairman David Scott continued, “This favorable and bipartisan reporting of H.R. 4252 out of Committee today is a historic and a great step forward for our great nation."
