On Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., the House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on gun violence in America. During the hearing, Members of Congress will examine the problem and hear recommendations from witnesses about how Congress should address it.
Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) released the following statement ahead of the hearing:
“For far too long, Republicans in Congress have offered moments of silence instead of action in the wake of gun tragedies. That era is over. As the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, I’ve made gun violence prevention one of our top priorities this Congress. We will examine this issue holistically and work to advance critical legislation to keep guns out of the wrong hands, and keep Americans safe."
