The Biden Administration's ineffectual national security strategy has only served to embolden China and weaken American security, said U.S. Rep. Diana Harshbarger, R-Tenn..

Harshbarger shared her critique with State Newswire.

"The Biden administration’s so-called ‘national security’ plan follows 22 months of failing to put Americans first, risking our Republic and kneeling to our enemies," she said. "Addressing the Chinese threat should be one of America’s top priorities, and so far, Joe Biden has had very little bark, let alone any bite."

The Biden administration "has wasted precious time and your hard-earned money on frivolous socialist spending programs instead of on critical military training, recruitment, retention and infrastructure," she added. "This weakness from the White House has given China a pass on critical human rights issues and emboldened the Communist regime to threaten Taiwan’s sovereignty. History has proved that the CCP only responds to one thing: strength."

Protecting the U.S.from "formidable and modern adversaries like China," requires a policy of peace through strength, said Harshbarger.

"We must pursue peace through strength. It’s time for the Biden administration to get their priorities in order and invest in American economic competitiveness while equipping our military personnel with the tools they need to defend against the threat of China," she said.

Harshbarger is a sitting member of a number of committees and caucuses, including the House Committee on Homeland Security, according to her website.

She announced being appointed to the House Republicans China Accountability Task Force in a news release. The task force has the job of analyzing and advancing approaches for ideas on how to safeguard Americans from the Chinese government and communist party aggression.

The People's Republic of China is one of the only countries with the resolve and capacity to reshape the international order, according to the White House's National Security Strategy. The Biden administration's plan to deal with China is to invest in American strength at home, make sure our allies share the same goals and priorities as us and responsibly compete against China.

Harshbarger is a co-sponsor of H.R. 4792 - the Countering Communist China Act. Its goal is to hinder the hostile influence and theft supported by the People's Republic of China and the Chinese Communist Party.
