The U.S. Congress Committee on Ways and Means published 78 press releases the month before, marking a 20.5 percent increase for the current month.
The Committee has control over all revenue-raising methods, along with programs like Social Security, unemployment insurance and health insurance.
In early 2022, the House Ways and Means Committee held the first hearing on America’s Mental Health Crisis in more than a decade. The meeting addressed rising depression and anxiety levels among adults since the pandemic began.
