Rodgers, Duncan Announce Energy, Climate, and Grid Security Subcommittee Markup of Nine Pieces of Legislation

The following press release was published by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce on Feb. 24. It is reproduced in full below.

Washington, D.C. - House Energy and Commerce Committee Cathy Rodgers (R-WA) and Energy, Climate, and Grid Security Subcommittee Chair Jeff Duncan (R-SC) today announced a subcommittee markup on nine pieces of legislation.

“President Biden’s war on American energy has weakened our energy security and made life unaffordable for people across the country. National average gas prices are up more than a dollar since he took office. People are paying record prices to heat their homes and keep the lights on. Meanwhile, the administration continues to double down on a radical agenda and force an energy transition on Americans, which is making us more reliant on supply chains from countries like China. This is not the future any American wants.

“To win the future, the Energy, Climate, and Grid Security Subcommittee is leading with these energy and climate solutions to restore our energy dominance with an all-of-the-above approach, lower prices, bolster our national security, and ensure America leads the world in innovation and reducing carbon emissions."
