Today, House Appropriations Committee Chairman Tom Cole announced the Republican Steering Committee's recommendations for new committee members for the 119th Congress.
Chairman Tom Cole expressed gratitude to four outgoing members, stating, "As this Congress draws to a close, we bid farewell to four extraordinary Members whose leadership has left a lasting mark on this chamber and Committee: Chairwoman Emeritus Kay Granger, Mike Garcia, Jake LaTurner, and Jerry Carl. Their dedication and service have been invaluable, and their absence will be deeply felt."
He also welcomed five new members to the committee. "While their departures create a significant void," Cole said, "I am excited to welcome five exceptional new Members to our Committee: Mark Alford, Nick LaLota, Dale Strong, Celeste Maloy, and Riley Moore. Each brings distinctive expertise and perspectives that will prove instrumental in advancing our commitment to fiscal responsibility and economic growth. Their fresh insights and diverse experiences will help forge a stronger path forward for our nation."
The newly appointed members are Rep. Mark Alford from Missouri, Rep. Nick LaLota from New York, Rep. Dale Strong from Alabama, Rep. Celeste Maloy from Utah, and Rep. Riley Moore from West Virginia.
