Senate HELP Committee schedules hearing on education and labor nominees

On June 5, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee is scheduled to hold a hearing concerning nominees for positions within the Trump administration. The nominees under consideration are set to fill roles in the Department of Education, Department of Labor, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

The individuals nominated include Penny Schwinn for Deputy Secretary of Education at the Department of Education and Kimberly Richey for Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights at the same department. Additionally, Daniel Aronowitz has been nominated as Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Employee Benefits Security Administration at the Department of Labor. David Keeling is nominated for Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

The hearing will take place on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM ET/9:00 AM CT in room 430 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building. The event will be available to watch live online.
