The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) has expressed support for the recent passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for 2026 by Congress. Eric Fanning, President and CEO of AIA, issued a statement acknowledging the priorities set out in the legislation.
“America’s aerospace and defense industry stands behind the priorities in this year’s National Defense Authorization Act – supporting our warfighters, strengthening the defense industrial base, and sustaining our technological edge,” Fanning said. “Congress’ action today will drive speed, scale, and innovation across the defense ecosystem, reinforcing deterrence and ensuring our military stays ahead. The Aerospace Industries Association thanks Chairmen Wicker and Rogers and Ranking Members Reed and Smith for safeguarding national security and those who serve.”
The NDAA is an annual bill that sets policies and funding levels for the U.S. Department of Defense. It is considered essential legislation for maintaining national security programs.
The AIA highlighted that the act would promote faster adoption of new technologies within the defense sector. The organization also noted that continued congressional support is vital to maintaining a strong industrial base capable of meeting current and future security needs.
