Former Chief Financial Officer of Two SPACs Pleads Guilty to Fraud Scheme
News Release: Damian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced today that COOPER MORGENTHAU, the former chief financial officer of two special purpose acquisition companies (“SPAC-1" and “SPAC-2"), pled guilty to one count of wire fraud in connection with a scheme to embezzle more than $5 million from the two companies. The defendant pled guilty before U.S. District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer.

News Release: Louisville, Ky. - The Drug Enforcement Administration seized over 50.6 million fentanyl-laced, fake prescription pills and more than 10,000 pounds of Fentanyl powder last year. The DEA Laboratory estimates that these seizures represent more than 379 million potentially deadly doses of fentanyl. 184,382 of those pills and 316 pounds of Fentanyl powder were seized right here in the Louisville Division, which encompasses Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia.
