Homeland Security Committee schedules oversight hearing with ICE, CBP, USCIS leaders

House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Andrew R. Garbarino has announced that senior officials from three key agencies under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will testify at a full committee hearing scheduled for February 10, 2026. The hearing aims to provide oversight of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

The witnesses who have agreed to appear are Todd Lyons, Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Director at ICE; Rodney Scott, Commissioner of CBP; and Joseph Edlow, Director of USCIS.

Chairman Garbarino stated, “Transparency and communication are needed to turn the temperature down. Thank you to Secretary Noem and the Department of Homeland Security for making these witnesses available, and I look forward to receiving their testimony.”

The hearing is titled “Oversight of the Department of Homeland Security: ICE, CBP, and USCIS” and will take place at 10:00 AM ET in Room 310 Cannon House Office Building. It will be open to both the public and press, with a livestream available on YouTube. Members of the press must have congressional credentials and are asked to RSVP in advance.

Committee staff initially invited these agency leaders on January 15, 2026, followed by formal letters sent by Chairman Garbarino on January 24 confirming the invitation.

This upcoming session follows a recent oversight hearing where leaders from other DHS components—including Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and Science and Technology Directorate—provided testimony before the committee.
